BMU Class of '83 Reunion: A Night of Nostalgia & New Memories

We are thrilled to share the incredible success of our first-ever class reunion, a heartwarming gathering of the Blue Mountain Union School's Class of 1983. On a cozy evening that resonated with laughter, shared stories, and cherished memories, we opened up the farm for a truly unforgettable and fun night celebrating their 40 year class reunion.



A Night of Nostalgia

The Class of '83, with their youthful spirit, gathered around a crackling fire on the patio overlooking the White Mountains. A perfect backdrop of the familiar views they grew up with just across the NH/VT border. The warm glow of the fire provided the ideal backdrop for storytelling and catching up on decades of life's twists and turns. Laughter echoed through the night as old friends rekindled their bonds.



The reunion event was hosted at the Whetstone Bar and Patio, a cozy and inviting space adorned with rustic charm. The firepit served as the epicenter of heartwarming conversations and moments of shared reminiscence. No reunion is complete without a touch of nostalgia, and we made sure to provide just that. A delightful balloon arch photo booth adorned with their school colors allowed attendees to capture some joyous moments. Posing with old and new friends, guests snapped photos that will serve as lasting mementos of their reunion.


Yearbooks from their school years were lovingly displayed, inviting attendees to leaf through the pages and revisit their school days. The joy of rediscovering old class photos and reading heartfelt messages brought a collective sense of nostalgia and unity.

We are delighted to share the remarkable success of our recent open house event at Jeffers Hill Farm. With over 80 guests, including couples, friends, and local community members, in attendance, it was an unforgettable day filled with excitement and appreciation for our newly updated venue. The open house provided an excellent opportunity for everyone to experience the charm and elegance of Jeffers Hill Farm firsthand.

Unveiling the Spectacular Updates:

The highlight of the open house was the chance for our guests to witness the breathtaking updates that have transformed Jeffers Hill Farm into an enchanting event venue. The grand chandeliers, gracefully suspended from above, illuminated the space with their mesmerizing glow. Paired with the magical twinkle lights, they created an atmosphere of pure elegance and romance.

The newly constructed patio, boasting panoramic views of the majestic White Mountains, became an instant favorite among our visitors. This idyllic outdoor space, with its picturesque backdrop, captivated the hearts of our newcomers. Our guests marveled at the thought of hosting unforgettable events against such a stunning natural canvas. In collaboration with our partner, Sparks and Spoons Events, our venue was beautifully adorned with an array of exquisite decor that is available for rent. The carefully curated pieces added an extra touch of sparkle, allowing couples to effortlessly transform the space into their dream setting. From charming centerpieces to elegant table settings, the available options left our guests inspired and eager to create their own magical occasions.


Amazing Vendor Team:

The open house was made even more memorable by the presence of our esteemed vendors who graciously attended and set up their delightful booths. They brought the vibrant energy to the event, engaging with our guests, offering samples of their delectable creations, and sharing their expertise. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to these vendors for their exceptional contributions.


Unveiling the Speakeasy and Embracing History:

One of the highlights of the open house was the introduction of our new speakeasy lounge, which garnered great excitement among our guests. This unique space, filled with vintage charm and an air of mystery, transported visitors back in time. It served as a delightful reminder of the history and heritage that Jeffers Hill Farm holds within its walls. The charming back wall bar was crafted from an antique bed frame from the on-site yellow farmhouse where the owner's mother resided for many years.

Throughout the open house, our dedicated team worked tirelessly to ensure that every visitor felt welcome and enchanted by the beauty of our venue. They graciously offered guided tours of the barn and the two on-site farmhouses, providing valuable insights into the rich history and cherished traditions of Jeffers Hill Farm. Discovering the Hidden Gem: Exciting Updates at Jeffers Hill Farm

We are thrilled to announce that Jeffers Hill Farm has undergone some exciting changes and growth, both in person and online! We have a new blog, website, and active social media accounts that will allow us to share our journey with you and keep you updated on all the happenings at the farm. Our new digital marketing materials will help us reach a wider audience, and we look forward to connecting with new people who are interested in hosting their special events at our venue. With all these exciting changes, you can expect to see more blogs about the activities at the farm and the events hosted there. We're excited to share our story with you and invite you to be a part of our community. Stay tuned for more updates and get ready to discover the hidden gem in Pike, NH, Jeffers Hill Farm. The completion of the recent renovations at the farm is also thrilling to announce. These updates were carefully designed to provide our guests with an even more unforgettable experience. We have added 20,000 twinkle lights, two crystal Maria Theresa 24-light gold chandeliers, and a newly renovated downstairs area that features Weston's Whetstone Bar, a speakeasy-style lounge space, and cocktail tables. These updates have created the perfect ambiance for intimate gatherings and will make evening events even more magical inside the historic barn.

We are also excited to announce that we have some amazing projects in the works. Our team has been working hard on landscaping the land, growing our vintage furniture inventory, upgrading the on-site farmhouse accommodations, adding new signage, and constructing handmade benches by a local craftsmen. Additionally, we are installing a gas fireplace that will make the perfect backdrop for your next event to be cozy out on the new patio.


The construction of the new 1,200 square foot patio is underway, which will be decorated with benches, the fireplace, and bistro lights. However, due to recent rain, there have been some delays in the patio and outdoor landscape progress. Nevertheless, our team is excited for the sunshine to continue the progress. We want to give a special shoutout to our subcontractors for working hard on the patio and to the electricians who have been adding lights and additional outlets. Thank you to our electricians, Kyle and Fred, from Eastman Electric. This special place would not be this stunning without you!

As we continue to work on improving the venue, we are also in the process of selecting a stain for the cement floor in the Whetstone bar area and designing a new sign to add to the property. At our event venue, we are always looking for ways to make our space even more versatile and accommodating for various types of events. We are excited to continue to share the progress at the farm. Our goal is to create an inviting and unique atmosphere that can be tailored to meet the needs of any event. With the addition of the Whetstone bar area, we envision it as the perfect space for pre and post-wedding events, like rehearsal dinners or post-wedding brunches. It's also an excellent spot for other small occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays, showers, corporate gatherings, and more. Overall, we are excited to continue making improvements to our venue to ensure that it's the perfect destination for all of your events. We are confident that our newly renovated spaces and upcoming projects will provide an unforgettable experience for our guests. To celebrate these exciting updates, we are hosting an open house on Sunday, June 4th, 2023, from 11 am to 2 pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to see the newly renovated spaces, explore the grounds, meet our events team, and discover vendors for your upcoming events. Additionally, you can sip champagne and even book your date at our venue.
